Anna Russell: Making small vessels

I continued working on the 3 vessels made in the workshop – experimenting with flame, colour and texture to complement the forms.

The pink paper pulp was an exciting challenge.

I was keen to work on embedding natural materials into the forms – and even keener to trial different forms of flame – incense, matches and butane.

The butane created a marvellous green that subsided into grey as it cooled.

Luckily the grid escaped.
