PPA – Upcoming workshops

Nothing planned for this coming weekend?

We have a couple of places still available in the Colour, Composition & Collage workshop with Claire.  Sure to be a fun day exploring which colours appeal, which don’t and how to combine them into interesting formats.  Adding collage and composition into the mix ensures everyone will leave with a resource folder full of new ideas to work from in the future.

Need some help photographing and presenting your art pieces as professionally as possible?  Then our next workshop is for you.

Photographing your work
with Ivars Osis from Primrose Park Photographers
Saturday 13th July, 2019

This half day workshop should have you improving your photography in no time.  Ivars will demonstrate how to position items, group them attractively, understand lighting and how to get the best from your camera or smartphone.

So, which of us have a camera or phone with settings and icons that are still a mystery (count me in that one)?

What is the difference when taking photos during the day, at night or under artificial light?  What about photographing works outside and how do you deal with reflections and shadows?

And, of course, the one we most often forget; the background.  How many times have you taken (or seen) photographs where the background really doesn’t enhance the object(s) you’re concentrating on recording?

So, bring all your questions, your camera or phone and several pieces, both 2D & 3D, to work with.
