Zhen Xian Bao – Chinese Thread Books

A friend kindly sent me a link to a blog showcasing the art of Chinese thread books.  The blog owner, Lesley, attended a workshop and produced a lovely layered book sample.  She demonstrates how it was constructed and shows how each of the folded layers interacts and opens.  It really is quite a comprehensive view of how these lovely books work.

I urge you to click on the link and read her post as it is fascinating and the results are excellent.

Anyone within striking distance of our group (Sydney based) who would like to come and show us how they are done?  It feels like a workshop coming on …….
