Three – no not just one, but THREE – of our members were selected as finalists in the North Sydney Art Prize for 2017.
The image makes reference to refugees who, because of climate change, are forced to go on boats seeking a new home.
Mandy’s work is based on this very successful installation, but this time the hands are stacked. Webmaster note: What an amazing sight they must be lying in piles entwined, holding and releasing the ones above and below.

The materials used in this reflective installation were sourced from the local bush during her 2016 Primrose Park Artist Studio residency and comment on colonisation and migration.
